Friendly and smiling staff - always asked if you wanted more. Dinner consisted of a meat or fish with rice/noodles and a vegetable dish (usually from his land). All very tasty and served with a smile. We didn’t hire a car but the bus stop is outside so we used the local buses to either Mahebourg or Flacq.

Small complex, not too crowded, pool with a view over the river, sun beds at the river, free kayaks to visit the waterfall, nice breakfast and dinner, we had a boat trip organized to Ile aux Benitiers for 600mur each😊

We loved every moment here. Everybody is so friendly and welcoming. The room is spacious and clean, has great views and airco. The views of the river are very nice and both pools are great. There are kayaks available to go to the waterfall, on our way we saw flying foxes and monkeys, a special experience. The breakfast and dinner are delicious and authentic Mauritian food. Jean Claude is very relaxed and welcoming, he advised us on some nice hiking routes to a hidden waterfall and took us on a trip to the EvaZion green cabane near the cat and mouse mountain. We stayed in 4 other places in Mauritius before this and we loved it here the most!

The food was excellent (breakfast and dinner). Our host, Jean Claude, was great : very helpful, talkative and kind. The location of the hotel was perfect to visit the East part of the island with a car (île aux Cerfs, Mahebourg, Blue Bay...). We could also use a canoe (belonging to the hotel) for free to reach a waterfall. It was really nice !

We spend two nights at EvaZion and can definitely recommend to have dinner here - the ladies preparing it are very friendly and the food tastes very good. We had a room at the highest floor with great view over the trees and even to the sea. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening and just watching the nature.

Had a lovely pool with a view over the river. Kayaks available to borrow to kayak to the nearby waterfall and see the monkeys. Lovely food at breakfast - fresh eggs, pancakes and other yummies each day. Also great food available in the evening for 500 rupees per person - a generous portion of Mauritian curries, vegetables etc and were friendly for vegetarian and gluten free diet.

Stunning location, venue has a pool and kayaking is free to use to see the waterfall. Staff very friendly. I can recommend this venue.

Very nice hotel, simple but clean and spacious rooms. Very good location to visit L'Ile aux Cerfs (a boat can come and pick you up directly from the hotel). You can also take a kayak from the hotel to see the waterfall nearby. Last but not the least, very good breakfast and you can enjoy a very good dinner if you want!

This accommodation was very perfect. The room was spacious and the view from the balcony was simply stunning. You could see the ocean and the surrounding area was very calm. In the outdoor area you can find a pool and you have a direct access to the river. It is a pleasure to stay there! In addition, the staff was very hospitable. You can order home-cooked dinner for a reasonable price. I can recommend this place!

Loved the view from top apartment where we stayed. Close location to river mouth. Jean Claude went out of his way to accommodate our early check-in and was always available for any further questions. Pool was a welcoming refreshment.
